Adam Schefter's Biography
Adam Schefter was born December 21, 1966 in Valley Stream, New York and is an American sports writer and television analyst. He is currently employed by ESPN and was previously with the NFL Network.
Schefter used to be NFL Network’s source for breaking-news stories. A graduate of the University of Michigan and Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism, Schefter was an editor at the Michigan Daily. He later covered the Denver Broncos for the Denver Post for 15 years. He began a relationship with many major Bronco athletes and coaches, and has subsequently helped write their biographies, including Bill Romanowski, Mike Shanahan and Terrell Davis. While with the 'Post', Schefter won the Colorado Sports Writer of the year award in 2002 and 2003. He is noted for his on-screen professionalism as well as his ability to get "accurate" inside information.[citation needed] Schefter maintains a network of reliable NFL sources that is generally regarded as the most reliable and timely in the business.

In addition, Schefter is a guest on numerous radio programs, including 850 KOA in Denver, Colorado, KHTK in Sacramento, California, and WEEI in Boston, Massachusetts and FOX radio as its NFL insider.
Schefter had a cameo appearance in the 2005 movie The Longest Yard. It was announced on June 12, 2009 that Schefter had agreed to terms with ESPN to become a football analyst. He began appearing on air on August 17, 2009.
