Known as “AI” and “The Answer”, Allen Iverson was born June 7, 1975, in Hampton, Virginia and a collegiate star at Georgetown University under coach John Thompson. An 11-year veteran at the age of 32, he is considered to be one of the most prolific and consistent scorers in the history of the game (third all-time behind only Michael Jordan and Wilt Chamberlain).
After two seasons at Georgetown, Allen Iverson was selected first overall by the Philadelphia 76ers in the 1996 NBA Draft.
