Darrelle Revis's Biography
Darrelle Revis was born July 14, 1985, in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania and is a cornerback for the New York Jets of the National Football League. Revis was drafted in the first round (14th overall) by the Jets in the 2007 NFL Draft. He played college football at the University of Pittsburgh.

As the starting cornerback for the Jets in his second season, Revis established himself as an All-Pro cornerback after being tied for second among interception leaders through week 15 of the 2008 NFL season with five picks. Revis had an impressive performance against the Arizona Cardinals and their vaunted passing duo of wide receivers Anquan Boldin and Larry Fitzgerald during week 4, nabbing two interceptions in the game, jogging one back 32 yards for his first NFL touchdown.
Despite his performance along with All-Pro free safety Kerry Rhodes, the Jets' pass defense was ranked 28th which prompted coach Eric Mangini to sign free agent All-Pro cornerback and former New York Jet Ty Law after week 10 of the season. Though the addition of Law was made to bolster the Jets' pass defense, Revis remained the starting corner. The Jets gave up 471 yards passing against Kurt Warner and the Cardinals during the week 4 matchup and another 400 yard performance from Matt Cassel and the New England Patriots during their Thursday Night Football matchup on week 11, though Revis' side of the field was known not to be tested while teams instead chose to attack rookie cornerback Dwight Lowery.
Jets head coach Rex Ryan has stated on several occasions the thinks Revis is the best cornerback currently in the NFL. NFL Total Access ranked him as the No. 3 cornerback in the league on a Best In The Biz list in 2009.
