Doug Marrone was born July 25, 1964 in The Bronx, New York City and is a college football coach. He currently serves as head coach of the Syracuse University Orange, replacing Greg Robinson. He previously served as offensive coordinator for Sean Payton with the New Orleans Saints.

On December 11, 2008, he was chosen as Syracuse University's head football coach after the 2008 season by athletic director Dr. Daryl Gross. He is the first Syracuse alumnus to serve as head football coach since Reaves H. Baysinger in 1948.
