Jim Grobe was born February 17, 1952 in Huntington, West Virginia and is an college football head coach. He is in his eighth season with The Wake Forest University Demon Deacons. Prior to coaching at Wake Forest, he was coach of the Ohio Bobcats from 1995–2000, leading Ohio to an 8–3 record in 1997 and a 7–4 record in 2000. In 2006 he was named ACC Coach of the Year by a unanimous vote and AP Coach of the Year for coaching Wake Forest to an 11-2 regular season.
