Raymond Felton was born June 26, 1984 in Marion, South Carolina and is a basketball player who currently plays for the New York Knicks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He spent his first four years in the league with the Charlotte Bobcats.
Felton was selected 5th overall in the 2005 NBA Draft by the Charlotte Bobcats.
During the 2009 offseason, Felton was a restricted free agent. However, he did not sign a contract offer with another team and returned to Bobcats for one more season after signing the qualifying offer on September 23, 2009.
On July 9, 2010, Felton agreed to a contract with the New York Knicks. On July 11, 2010, the deal was finalized for 2 years $15.8 million. Felton was selected as co-captain for the 2011 season alongside fellow free agent signee Amar'e Stoudemire.
