Riley Cooper's Biography
Riley Cooper was born on September 9, 1987 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and is the son of Larry and Monica Cooper. He is an American football wide receiver and baseball outfielder for the Florida Gators. He signed a deal to play baseball for the Major League Baseball Texas Rangers. During his tenure at the University of Florida, he was quarterback Tim Tebow's roommate and primary passing target on the field. Cooper is known not only for his possession skills, but for being an outstanding and aggressive blocker.
Cooper recently signed with the Texas Rangers, but decided to delay his MLB career and return to play football for Florida in their 2009 season.

As of 2010, Cooper has given up baseball and has set his focus on football. He was supposed to get a physical and receive half of his 250,000 signing bonus on January 17th, but declined and told the Rangers that his focus is football, thus voiding his baseball contract.
Cooper appeared in every game for the Gators in his junior season, starting all but two (Hawaii and Florida State). Riley hauled in a key touchdown, along with a season-high 51-yard reception, that put UF in scoring position at the SEC Championship Game versus Alabama. He totaled 28 yards on two receptions in the BCS National Championship Game, including a crucial 17-yard catch on 3rd-and-12. Cooper ammased 261 total yards on 18 receptions, 3 of these being touchdowns.
As of the 2009 season, Cooper has remained one of Tim Tebow's primary passing
threats, and is still a prominent special teams player. While receiving, he
would total 961 yards on 51 receptions, catching 9 touchdowns and averaging
18.8 yards per catch.
