Fans who tuned into the exclusive ESPN feature of Vernon Davis on E:60 got to see the NFL star in a new light as he demonstrated his artistic ability. Since the launch of the episode, Vernon Davis proactively set out to open his own art gallery and this past week he did exactly that. To celebrate the grand opening of his new art gallery, Gallery 85, Vernon Davis held an evening of art and charitable fundraising at San Joseʼs Santana Row.
The 49er’s tight-end hosted the Santana Row, invite-only event where he sold art to benefit his namesake organization, The Vernon Davis Foundation for the Arts. The philanthropic footballer will donate a portion of the art foundation’s sales to the Davis’ foundation, which he created to provide art education to at-risk youth and give scholarships to college art students.
