Actor and bodybuilder Lou Ferrigno will be giving a keynote speech at the 11th Annual Steak and Burger Dinner that’s happening in the Nessmith-Lane Conference Center ballroom at Georgia Southern University between the hours of 6 and 8 p.m. Not only is this event a major fundraiser for the Boys and Girls Club of Bulloch County, but it also serves as a beloved part of the community and they are pleased to be celebrating their 15th year in operation. Ferrigno will be sharing lots of stories from his childhood such as the challenges and many struggles he had with bullying and hearing loss. He will also be sharing some tales of his many victories too.
The Brooklyn, New York native graduated from high school in 1969 and went on to win his first major titles in bodybuilding just four years later, which were IFBB Mr. American and IFBB Mr. Universe. Earlier in his career, he even trained with former governor and actor Arnold Schwarzenegger. In 1977 he began his acting career and even landed a role of The Hulk in the film “The Incredible Hulk” and from there on received other spots in additional media works. Ferrigno suffers from a hearing loss of 75 to 80% and he truly believes that being practically deaf is what gave him the determination to be as successful today as he is.
Ferrigno will be speaking at this year’s 11th Annual Steak and Burger Dinner that’s happening at Georgia Southern University inside the Nessmith-Lane Conference Center. It will likely bring in many people to see the star, who is an inspiration to all both on and off the big screen.
