Legendary Philadelphia 76ers guard Allen Iverson has landed an endorsement deal with big sock brand, Stance that will last for a number of years. The 11-time NBA All Star player has already made a great impression on the NBA clothing style world with his t-shirt and baggy jeans, so this is just another opportunity for him to get back on the market again. After all, it has been a little while since the public has seen or heard much from Iverson and his fans will likely embrace this new endorsement deal. It will be interesting to see how a retired NBA player can impact the youth athletes today, just like his fans who remember him from his active days.
The 2001 NBA Most Valuable Player was the first overall pick in the 1996 NBA Draft and he was chosen by the Philadelphia 76ers. He was the NBA All Star MVP two times in the years 2001 and 2005, and even went to play for the United States in the 2004 Summer Olympics, bringing home a bronze medal with the team. Aside from the 76ers, he also played a few years with the Denver Nuggets, Detroit Pistons, Memphis Grizzlies and the Besiktas team out of Turkey for a little while.
Iverson will be appearing in a series of Stance commercials and promotions for the sock brand, and it will be interesting to see his presence in the American sports culture once again.
