Aly Raisman finished the Olympics in style with her Gold Medal win in the floor exercise. This win proved to monumental as she became the first US woman to win an Olympic gold on floor.
The U.S. captain Aly Raisman also became the most decorated of the Fierce Five after she won the gold medal in the floor along with winning bronze on the balance beam. Shortly after her performance, the cameras caught Aly Raisman speaking about her performance:
”It was definitely the best floor routine that I’ve ever done,” Raisman said. ”To have it be at the Olympic Games, in the finals, is just really amazing and just a dream come true. That’s what you work for your whole life.”
For those unfamilar with Aly Raisman, she is an American artistic gymnast who is captain of the gold medal-winning US Women’s Gymnastics team at the 2011 World Championships and the 2012 Summer Olympics. She is also apart of the infamous “Fab Five” or “Fierce Five” which include Jordyn Wieber, Aly Raisman, Gabby Douglas, Kyla Ross and McKayla Maroney.
