Artis Gilmore Speaking FeeNBA Hall of Fame center Artis Gilmore was the keynote speaker at the 2013 Anti-Bully Boot Camp on Saturday, October 19 at the Jacksonville Museum of Science and History in Jacksonville, Florida. During the event Gilmore spoke about his personal experience with bullying and how to deal with bullying. “We all experience bullying, and we all need to work together to attack this problem,” said Gilmore. “This event is phenomenal and I am proud to be a part of it. We are going to find a way to resolve these issues together.”

Gilmore played 17 professional seasons, 12 in the NBA and 5 in the ABA, and was an 11 time All-Star. In 1972 he was named the ABA Most Valuable Player and led the Kentucky Colonels to the 1975 ABA Championship. He remains the NBA’s career leader in field goal percentage, having made 59.9% of his career shots. Gilmore was induced into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2011.
