Well-known American professional bass fisherman Hank Parker was the keynote speaker at an event sponsored by Harvest Baptist Sportsmen Club in Wapakoneta, Ohio. He was in the area to discuss his relationship with the outdoors as well as his relationship with the gospel of Christ, and for many of the fisherman in the area who remember him from back in the 80’s it was an especially exciting event. It was a very inspiring talk and reflected back on the days when fishing was a more popular activity.
Parker is a member of the Bass Fishing Hall of Fame as he is one of only four people to win the Bassmaster Classic more than once, which he did 10 years apart in 1979 and 1989. The North Carolina native has been fishing since a very young age and even started his own fishing magazine in the late 80’s and had a Super Nintendo Game named after him. Parker is also a part of the Legends of the Outdoors Hall of Fame and the International Game Fish Association Hall of Fame, and currently has two sons who are NASCAR drivers.
The famed fisherman gave a great and enlightening talk to the group at the event hosted by the Harvest Baptist Sportsmen Club in Wapakoneta, and got to discuss a little bit about his adventurous life on the water with his pole.
