chBTkimhRon Jon Surf Shop was excited to host Bethany Hamilton at their new Florida Mall Orlando location this past Saturday, March 26th for an autograph signing. Bethany signed posters for the first 100 fans to arrive.

Bethany Hamilton has become a source of inspiration to millions through her story of determination, faith and hope. During a surf session in 2003, Bethany was attacked by a 14-foot tiger shark, which bit off her left arm and seemed to end her career as a rising surf star. Just one month after the attack, Bethany returned to the water and just over a year later won her first National title. She wrote about her experience in the 2004 autobiography Soul Surfer: A True Story of Faith, Family, and Fighting to Get Back on the Board. In 2007, Bethany realized her dream of surfing professionally and since then her story was told in the 2011 film, Soul Surfer. In early 2012, Hamilton met youth minister Adam Dirks through mutual friends. The couple were married on August 18, 2013, in front of 300 friends and family members at a secluded 130-acre estate on Kauai’s north shore, near where she grew up. She and Adam competed on the The Amazing Race 25 where they placed in the top 3. In 2015, Hamilton gave birth to a son. She is also involved in numerous charitable efforts. Now as a professional surfer, wife, mother, Christian motivational speaker, and healthy lifestyle advocate, Bethany continues to touch and inspire lives globally.

Ron Jon Surf Shop hosted Bethany Hamilton at their new Florida Mall Orlando location on Saturday March 26th. The first 100 fans were able to receive autographs and the chance to purchase an exclusive tank for the event.
