Brett Favre Appearance FeeThis Sunday, Brett Favre along with seven others were inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. With Favre’s first ballot induction he became the 14th first ballot Hall of Fame quarterback ever. It was a surprise to no one that Favre and the other seven men, including Marvin Harrison and former owner Eddie Debartolo, were inducted. All of the men inducted this year have a long list of personal and team accomplishments that most do not ever reach.

Brett Favre, a Gulfport, Mississippi native, played high school football with his dad as head coach at Hancock North Central High School. After playing for his dad, who mostly ran the wishbone, Favre went on to play college football at Southern Mississippi University, which was the only scholarship offer he received. Favre was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the second round of the 1991 draft where he only played for one season. After being subsequently traded to the Green Bay Packers for a first round pick in 1992, Favre played 16 seasons in Green Bay. While in Green Bay Favre made his legacy which included three consecutive AP MVP awards and a Super Bowl Victory in 1996. Also during his time with the Packers Favre set franchise records for nearly every passing category in existence. After leaving the Packers in 2007, Favre went on to play for both the New York Jets and, the Green Bay rival, Minnesota Vikings. At the time of his retirement Favre was the sole owner of numerous NFL records such as most completions, most victories as a starting quarterback, and most consecutive starts at quarterback. Favre will forever go down as one of the toughest and best quarterbacks to ever play the game and did so with a childlike enthusiasm for the game.

This Sunday, Brett Favre along with seven other men joined the ranks of Pro Football Hall of Fame. The event was once again amazing and had a great showing of sports celebrities and legends of the game. The Hall of Fame induction, as always, gave younger fans the chance to appreciate the play of some recent legends.
