Unites States Women’s National Team star player Carli Lloyd traveled around the state of Pennsylvania to visit with fans and talk to people about her success and journey to what she has achieved. It has only been just about three months since she scored a hat trick during the Women’s World Cup final game against Japan and her life as been in the fast lane to no end since then. On her trip, Lloyd covered over 300 miles of ground and spoke to about 500 kids at Millville High School, 2,000 people at Bloomsburg University, and also 600 more people in Lewisburg at the North Union United Soccer Club. It was a fun event for everyone who got to see the star, and she had some great advice and insight as to how to accomplish goals.
The New Jersey native has been playing soccer since the young age of 5 and continued to excel at her sport throughout her high school years. From 2001 to 2004 she attended Rutgers University where she played on the school’s soccer team and became an immediate rising star. In the mid-2000’s Lloyd signed on with the Women’s Professional Soccer League and in 2005 she joined the United States National Team where she continued to grow and find her place representing the country.
Lloyd went back to the East Coast recently to reconnect with her roots and meet with several of her greatest fans, who are still applauding her for all of her great achievements in this summer’s World Cup event.
