College Football Hall of Fame coach Phillip Fulmer has been announced as the keynote speaker for the FCA Road to Victory Banquet that is happening on Tuesday, February 28th at 6:30 p.m. at the Colonnade Center in Ringgold, GA. This annual fundraiser is the largest of its kind for the Greater Chattanooga Fellowship of Christian Athletes and also supports the ministry’s work in local schools and community athletic programs all over Southeast Tennessee. The event director Jay Fowler stated that they are extremely excited to have Coach Fulmer on board as this year’s speaker, as he is not only one of the most talented coaches from college football history, but he hits sentiments close to home too.
The Winchester, Tennessee native first attended the University of Tennessee as a student in 1968 where he played for the Volunteers’ football team as an offensive guard. After his time in college he went on to be a OL/LB coach for Wichita State for four years before working one year at Vanderbilt, and then finding his way back to Tennessee. From 1980-2008, Fulmer was a part of the coaching staff at the University of Tennessee and won several awards in 1998 when the school won the championship. After he retired from his career, Fulmer went on to be a sports analyst for CBS’s SEC Postgame Show as well as other games on the CBS College Sports Network.
Fulmer will be speaking at this year’s Annual FCA Road to Victory Banquet that is happening at the end of next month in Ringgold, GA at the Colonnade Center. Please visit the venue’s website to get more information about the event and tickets.
