Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott is proudly sponsoring the $21 pet adoption day in Dallas, Texas on Monday October 17th from noon to 6 p.m.. The fee costs just $21 in reference to Elliott’s jersey number, and he has vowed to pay for the difference of the cost for anyone who wants to come down to Dallas’ SPCA and adopted their new family friend. For the month of “Dogtober”, the SPCA is already cutting adoption fees in half for dogs, but the Cowboy star is willing to pay the remaining fees for any animals that are adopted from the facility.
The Alton, Illinois native was both academically and athletically-driven during his teen years at John Burroughs School where he was a three-sport star in basketball, track, and football, which led him to being recruited by several schools for college. Despite his family wanting him to attend his parent’s alma mater, University of Missouri, Elliott went on to play for Ohio State University. After just three seasons at OSU, he entered the 2016 NFL Draft where he was selected as the 4th overall pick by the Dallas Cowboys. Ever since the 2016 NFL season has gone underway, Elliott is already proving to be one of the most talented running backs in the game leading the NFL in rushing as of Week 6.
