Dallas Cowboys star quarterback Dak Prescott is scheduled to speak for this year’s annual Legacy of the Light Gala that is taking place at Middle Tennessee Christian School on April 29th. The newly turned pro quarterback is expected to give the audience a message of hope and faith that will set them up for success in their lives, as well as share some of his own personal experiences both on and off the football field. Prescott was highly sought out for this job due to his regular placement of the word “faith” that is wrapped around his wrist during every game, so the audience and coordinators were sure that they would be able to relate to each other with similar religious views. Tickets to get into the event cost $75 for reserved seating and just $50 for regular tickets, and even though the program begins at 7:30 p.m., the doors will open up half an hour beforehand.
The Sulpher, Louisiana native started playing football during his high school years while he lived in Haughton, LA, which eventually led him to attend and play for Mississippi State University during his college career. The two-time Conerly Trophy winner and 2015 National Player of the Year Candidate currently holds 38 school records, as well as a single game record for passing yards in the Orange Bowl. He entered the 2016 NFL Draft where he was picked in the fourth round by the Dallas Cowboys as a backup quarterback, however, due to Tony Romo’s injuries he got a chance to get some starting lineup time with the team this season and really proved his strengths. Prescott seemed to come out of the woodwork for Dallas, and football fans all around the world are excited to see what he has in store for the future.
