WWE superstar Daniel Bryan officially announced his retirement last month on Monday Night Raw. It was said that the wrestler’s contact was frozen due to injuries he was trying to heal from, but in the end this is why Bryan had to leave his wrestling career behind. Even though Bryan had gotten the “all clear” to get back in the ring, the WWE wouldn’t allow him to do so at that time and kept him off to the side. This was thought to be an effort to avoid lawsuits against the organization for concussion-related injuries. In any case, Daniel Bryan is officially done with wrestling and currently lives in Phoenix, Arizona.
The wrestler was born in Aberdeen, Washington, and as soon as he graduated high school in 1999 he went on to pursue a career as a wrestler. He attended the Texas Wrestling Academy where he trained under the popular professionals Shawn Michaels and Rudy Gonzales and eventually signed a contract with the WWF in the early 2000’s. Over the career he has wrestled under his birth name, “Bryan Danielson”, his character persona “American Dragon”, and also as his new name Daniel Bryan. He still wrestles to this day, but is currently taking some time off to heal an injury. Some of Bryan’s signature moves include the “Dragon Screw”, “Indian Death Lock” and the “Running Big Boot”.
Bryan officially retired from WWE on an episode of Monday Night Raw last month, and despite his efforts to get back in the ring he finally decided to throw in the towel due to recovering from sports related injuries.
