Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman Adrian Gonzalez is enjoying another successful year, and with his team up 3.5 games in the National League West things are looking solid for another deep postseason run this season. Despite the everyday grind that the summer brings during the 162 game MLB season, Gonzalez still found time to host his 3rd annual youth baseball camp earlier this month at Calabasas High School in Calabasas, California.
His 3rd annual camp covered baseball fundamentals and offered 260 athletic hopefuls the chance to practice with and learn the game from Gonzalez and his staff of 30 highly knowledgeable and experienced coaches.
Gonzalez is a four-time All-Star and has been one of the most consistent hitters in the big leagues over the course of his 11 year career. Last season he drove in 100 runs and posted a .293 average to go along with 22 home runs. Known for his calm demeanor and smooth swing, Gonzalez enjoys giving back to the community and always makes himself available for the youngsters of the game that aspire to one day be a big leaguer just like him.
