Manning Passing AcademyThis week, over 1,200 of the best high school football players from all over the United States and several other countries will converge in Thibodaux, Louisiana for the Manning Passing Academy at Nicholls State University.

Headed up by former New Orleans Saints legend Archie Manning and his three sons Peyton, Eli, and Cooper, the 19th Annual Manning Passing Academy is considered the most elite football camps in the world. With an instructional staff featuring NFL, college, and elite high school coaches as well as a group of 43 of the best college football passers, the young high school quarterbacks will be learning from the best in the game.

Archie Manning says that the goal of the camp is to give the campers the best experience possible.

“We’ve got a great group of campers coming,” he said. “These kids are so great. They are so excited to be there. They are so anxious to get out on the field and work. They are courteous. They are polite. They work hard. We have fun. We’ve got everything lined up. We’ve got a great group of college quarterbacks as camp counselors. We are ready to go.”

The Manning Passing Academy runs from Thursday, July 10 through Sunday, July 13. On Saturday the academy will host the 2014 Iberia Bank Air-It-Out and Papa John’s Quarterback Challenge at 6:30, with gates opening for the public at 5:30 p.m. All proceeds from the Air-It-Out session directly support the Nicholls State athletic department.
