ESPN analyst Chris Broussard was the featured speaker at the Second Annual Raider Tip-Off Premiere that happened on Thursday, October 6h. The event began at 7 p.m. sharp despite the fact that the doors to the arena opened at 6 p.m., and tickets to get into this awesome “Tip-Off” costed $70 and were purchased from the WSU Athletics Department. Broussard will be discussing a lot about his life and career as a sports analyst and will share some his passion for the industry through a motivational talk.
The Baton Rouge, Louisiana native spent a lot of his childhood in boarding schools in Indiana, Iowa, and Ohio. In 1990 he began to write for a living for the local Cleveland paper called, “The Plain Dealer”, and later on got a job with the AKron Beacon Journal where he had an opportunity to cover the NBA for over two years as the Cavaliers beat writer. As of 2004, Broussard has worked some for ESPN as an NBA insider and analyst, and added to the NBA Countdown pregame show on ABC.
