ESPN college basketball analyst Seth Greenberg spoke at MTSU’s annual Tip-Off Celebration that took place on October 20 at Stones River Country Club at 11:30 a.m. that day. This event, the Tip-Off Celebration is always a good way to get people ready and geared up for the next season of college ball and is a symbol of it’s beginning for the locals. Tickets to the event were only $20 in advance and $25 on the day of, and tables of 10 costed $200 for a reservation. The Blue Raiders coach Kermit Davis gave a statement that they were extremely humbled and excited to have Greenberg in attendance and he would be sure to draw in a lot of people to the event.
The Plainview, New York native got his career in basketball started as a player for Fairleigh Dickinson University between the years of 1974 and 1978. After graduating, Greenberg worked as an assistant coach for 12 years at schools such as Columbia, Pittsburgh, Virginia, Miami, and Long Beach State before taking on a position as head coach for Long Beach State in 1990. Over his career he was also the head coach of also South Florida and Virginia Tech’s basketball teams too. These days Greenberg is still active in the sports world as he is a analyst for ESPN and continues to impact his fans and viewers.
Greenberg spoke at this year’s Tip-Off Celebration that happened earlier this month at the Stones River Country Club and it was a huge success.
