Boomer Esiason Speaking FeeFootball legend Boomer Esiason served as the keynote speaker at JCC Rockland’s first annual sports dinner on Thursday, January 15, 2015. The theme of the evening was “Play It Forward”, and Esiason used that theme to discuss his career and how he’s used his accomplishments in football to help others.

In addition to his keynote address, Esiason was also on hand to honor two supporters of JCC Rockland and a pair of high school seniors that have devoted their time to helping others in their school and the community.

Esiason played quarterback in the NFL for 13 seasons and won the 1988 NFL MVP Award while playing for the Cincinnati Bengals. In 1995 he was honored with the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award for his dedication to helping the community. Since his retirement he has signed on as a football commentator at CBS, and also co-hosts the Boomer and Carton in the Morning show on WFAN. He has also launched the Boomer Esiason Foundation, which seeks to increase education and awareness about cystic fibrosis and provides financial support to research aimed at finding a cure.
