Tim-TebowTim Tebow may not currently have an NFL contract and may not have played in the Super Bowl on February 2, 2014, but he did make an appearance in two T-Mobile Super Bowl XLVIII commercials during the NFL’s biggest game of the year, which may prove just as valuable to his career. In the commercials, Tebow pokes fun at the fact that he does not have an NFL contract by showing how much better it is to not have a contract.

“Everyone thinks I want a contract, but without one, I’ve done so much this year,” says Tebow in the commercial rightfully entitle “What can Tim Tebow do without a #nocontract?”. The commercial, showing us all he can do without a contract, Teobow delivers a baby, hunts and actually finding the elusive Sasquatch and tackling him to the ground like only a big tough quarterback can do, performs stand-up comedy, beats the top chess player in the world, rides bucking bulls as a radio cowboy, saves puppies from a fiery inferno, rocks out on stage, and proposes a plan for world peace at a Global Summit. All to show what T-mobile customers can do without a long-term cell phone contract.

Tebow starred at the University of Florida from 2006 to 2009. earning the Heisman Trophy in 2007 and finishing as a Heisman finalist in 2008 and 2009. After leading the Gators to a BCS National Championship in 2006 and 2008 Tebow was selected in the 1st round of the 2009 NFL Draft by the Denver Broncos. After serving as the team’s back-up quarterback in 2010 he earned the starting job midway through the 2011 season and led the Bronco’s to a playoff victory on an epic touchdown pass on the first play of overtime.

After the 2011 season he was traded to the New York Jets and then to the New England Patriots in 2013. When he was released by the Patriots prior to the 2013 season he continued to pursue his work with the Tim Tebow Foundation, Tebow CURE Hospital, and his father’s non-profit association, the Bob Tebow Evangelistic Association. In December 2013 he was hired by ESPN as a college football analyst and will appear mainly on the SEC Network as a co-host of SEC Nation, but continues to seek a contract in the NFL as a quarterback.
