Former Ohio Buckeye football coach Jim Tressel is scheduled to be the keynote speaker for the 2nd Annual Perry County Chamber of Commerce Groundhog Breakfast that is happening on February 3 at Sheridan High School near Thornville, Ohio. The event will kick off at 6 a.m. and will be preceded by a presentation done by the American Legion Post 58, and there will also be an award given out at roughly 7:15 a.m. to honor this year’s first Chamber EAGLE award that will coincide with Tressel’s speech. Since there will only be limited seating available, it is advised that those who would like to attend this special function should make a reservation as soon as possible with the chamber of commerce.
The four-time NCAA Division I-AA National Championship winner has been active in the football world since 1971, when he played as a quarterback for Baldwin-Wallace for three years. Shortly after, Tressel started his coaching career in 1975 with Akron, and worked for four other educational establishments over the course of 35 years. Then on September 2, 2011, the former Ohio State coach was hired by the Indianapolis Colts to be a game day and replay consultant.

It should be a very inspiring day filled with lots of great sports stories, words of encouragement, and a delicious meal.
