Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Danny White was the keynote speaker for the 27th Annual Independent Bankers Association of Texas Leadership Conference. He was the feature speaker in a session called: Winning When the Going Gets Tough with Danny White. The Leadership Division is the premier organization for Texas independent bankers and associate members. Founded in 1985, Danny spoke to members that have dedicated themselves to the growth of independent banking.
During his career with the Cowboys, White had 1,761 completions on 2,950 attempts for 21,959 yards and155 touchdowns. He also gained 482 yards and scored 8 touchdowns rushing. He won a Super Bowl in 1978 with the Cowboys, earned a Pro Bowl appearance in 1982 and most recently coached his Arizona Rattlers to two Arena League titles.
Danny was named athlete of the century in Arizona in the year 2000 by the Arizona Republic, posted the 2nd highest rated College QB of all time according to Sports Illustrated and threw the most TD passes in Texas Stadium. When he retired White had broken numerous Cowboys records including most four touchdown pass games in Cowboys History, most yards and TD’s passing in a season.
