Steve SaxLos Angeles Dodgers legend Steve Sax recently had an interview with Lakers radio play-by-plan man John Ireland to talk about the mural of him depicted with The Three Stooges. Sax explained that he has always been a big fan of The Three Stooges and thought it would be a fun addition to his game room. The mural was also a fun conversation piece for people to look at when they entered the room, as well as a token of something extra for the next home owners when he decided to move out. During his time with Ireland, Sax also shared a few other little stories and bits of information on his own background.

The West Sacremento, California native started playing baseball during his high school years at River City High School. He entered the 1978 MLB Draft where he was selected by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the ninth round. The five-time All-Star player made his MLB debut on August 18th, 1981 for the Dodgers and stayed with the team all the way until 1988. Next, he did two seasons with the New York Yankees and the following year went to play for the Chicago White Sox for another season. Sax officially retired from the sport in May of 1994 after his last game, which he played on the Oakland Athletics for.

Sax recently went on a radio show to talk to John Ireland about the history of his mural of himself depicted with The Three Stooges. As it turns out, it mostly had to do with his interest in the trio and desire for a more fun environment in his home.
