Former Florida State University Coach Bobby Bowden will join a host of big-name athletes who will lend their support to raise money for the the 13th Avenue Dream Center that serves at-risk youth starting Friday evening, October 12 and throughout the weekend.
Bradenton-based athletic apparel retailer Champs Sports is sponsoring the Celebrity Sports Weekend for the tenth year and has already raised more than $670,000 for the center. In addition to Bowden, former NBA All-Stars Artis Gilmore and Otis Birdsong, former NFL tight end Jimmie Giles and former MLB pitcher Dennis Rasmussen will attend the event.
