Former NASCAR champion Rusty Wallace has been announced as the keynote speaker at the 33rd Annual SAE Brake Colloquium and Exhibition that is taking place on October 4-7 in Charleston, South Carolina at the Charleston Area Convention Center. The event is designed to cover the industry’s most important developments in both the motorcycle and ground vehicle sectors and everyone who attends will be able to have a chance to join discussions with live panels. The Missouri native competed in 706 races over the last 25 years of his racing career and has won several awards from 1979 through 2014. He is known to be a very fun loving and charismatic guy which makes him very memorable and stand out from many other racers. In 2006 he was even named a “Missouri Sports Legend” by the Missouri Hall of Fame and was also inducted into the Motorsports Hall of Fame in 2014. In addition to himself, his brother Kenny and Mike are also NASCAR circuit racers and his son Stephen made his NASCAR Sprint Cup Series debut in 2011 at the Daytona 500.
