New Orleans Saints Chris Reis has been announced as the guest speaker for the Jeff Davis Chamber of Commerce’s annual awards. The event is taking place on January 26 at the Grand Marais Courtyard in Jennings, Louisiana. Tickets to the event will cost $60 per person or $600 to reserve a table for 10. At 5:30 p.m. the doors open to guests and there will be activities that include networking, a bar, and even a photo booth. In addition to that, the awards and speaker will hit the stage an hour later that will be followed by being served gumbo and desserts. It is bound to be one of the most exciting events in the area this year.
The Roswell, Georgia native started playing football during his high school years and ended up playing for the Georgia Tech football team, however he went undrafted after leaving the university. He then was signed on to the Atlanta Falcons as a free agent for a brief amount of time before going on to join the Saints in 2007 where he stayed for three years. After suffering a shoulder injury, Reis was put on the IR list before getting cut from the team which eventually lead to his retirement from the sport.
Reis is going to speak at this year’s Jeff Davis Chamber of Commerce’s annual awards ceremony that is happening later on this month.
