Chris Reis SpeakerSuper Bowl Champion safety Chris Reis will be delivering the keynote address at the 35th annual Week of Champions slated for June 9 in Beaufort, South Carolina. Reis, who will be speaking about his NFL career with the Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints from 2007 to 2010, is known for recovering a crucial onside kick for the Saints in Super Bowl XLIV, which turned the tide of the game and led to a Saints Super Bowl victory.

The Week of Champions is a nonprofit volunteer organization providing sports camps for children, ages 8 to 12, free of charge. Professional and college athletes run the camps, where they teach the kids to be champions on and off the field. Week of Champions is run by the South Coastal Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Reis played his collegiate football at Georgia Tech University and earned All-ACC honorable mention honors in 2004 in addition to earning ACC All-Academic honors in 2003, 2004, and 2005. After graduating from Georgia Tech he signed with the Falcons in 2006 as an undrafted free agent. In 2007 he was picked up by the New Orleans Saints, playing for the 2009 Super Bowl Champions until a shoulder injury forced him out of the game in 2010. A true role model for young athletes both on and off the field, Reis pursued his dream on the field while also remembering to maintain his priorities off the field and in the classroom. His commitment to excellence as a player and person ultimately earned him the right to call himself a Super Bowl Champion.
