The Gala was held on Saturday, February 9, at Madrigrano Marina Shore in downtown Kenosha benefiting the Shalom Center and Go Pink as the first joint fundraiser for the two Kenosha-based charities, drawing over 300 people to the black tie-optional party.
Freeman spent seven seasons with the Packers and was a member of the Super Bowl XXXI Champion team as well as leading Green Bay in receiving in four seasons from 1996–1999 and the league in receiving in 1998. The Green Bay Packers Hall of Famer was featured as the keynote speaker for the event along with Hilgenberg helping to support a number of good causes including the support of those in need within the local community and grants for women with breast cancer.
