Todd Helton SpeakerRecently retired Colorado Rockies first baseman Todd Helton will serve as the guest speaker for the Greater Knoxville Sports Hall of Fame 2014 dinner and induction ceremony on July 24, 2014. Helton, who played all 17 of his major league seasons with the Rockies, is a graduate of Central Valley High School and the University of Tennessee which are both located in Knoxville. When he retired after the 2013 season he held Rockies club records in hits, home runs, doubles, walks, runs scored, RBI, games played, and total bases. In his final game at Coors Field in 2013 he was honored by the Rockies during a pre-game ceremony and hit a home run in the game, thus closing his career on the highest note possible.
