The Orlando Magic recently begun a series of community-oriented holiday events this week. Their first stop was to the Florida Hospital for Children where Bo Outlaw along with Glen Davis, Kyle O’Quinn, and Hedo Turkoglu brought smiles to the visiting kids.
This afternoon was special for several of the members of the Magic as it was their first time paying a visit to the Florida Hospital for Children. Rookie Center O’Quinn was excited to provide a boost to so many kids in need of support and shared these kinds words:
“It’s showing that your appearance has an impact on these kids,” the first-year center said. “These are times that these kids will never forget so I am so glad to be here to help in any way I can.”
Glen “Big Baby” Davis also shared some kinds words regarding the afternoon at Florida Hospital:
“To make someone smile, it’s really important and I’m blessed to be in a position to help children during these times,” said Davis, whose cheerfulness and charisma immediately uplifted a few of his adored fans when he arrived at each of their rooms.
The Orlando Magic have recently underwent some big changes, from a new GM, new Coach, new Players and even a new Venue, but this has not slowed them down from giving back to the community. Despite the loss of Dwight Howard, the Magic have fought strong this season behind Glen Davis and Arron Afflalo.
