Hall of Famer Emmitt Smith has been announced as the speaker for next year’s Billings Chamber of Commerce Annual Chamber Breakfast event that is happening on March 30 in Billings, Montana. Although tickets haven’t been posted for sale yet, it’s highly likely that this will be a sell out event as football fans everywhere can appreciate the appearance of an NFL star like Smith. The Florida native was born in the town of Pensacola and had earned a scholarship to attend the University of Florida where he played football from 1987 through 1989. In his first college game start, Smith went on to break the school’s 57 year old record for yards rushed in a single game. Smith entered the 1990 NFL draft where he was selected by the Dallas Cowboys as the 17th overall pick, and he stayed with the team until 2002. From 2003-2004 he played with the Arizona Cardinals before deciding to retire, but has still stayed active in the football world by participating in shows as a sports analyst and participating in other media activities.
