The Brooklyn, New York native knows about the inner workings and management of a professional team from the front office as well as being a player on the court. She was employed as the General Manager and Head Coach of the WNBA’s Detroit Shock in the late 90’s, running the team from the court and the front office for three seasons before turning her talents to the TV by becoming an analyst for ESPN. Never shying away from a challenge, Lieberman also is the oldest player to play a WNBA game, at age 50, when she played a game for the Shock, while assisting on two scores.
Liberman is set to be the keynote speaker for this year’s A-10 Men’s Basketball Championship held in Pittsburgh, PA.
