Former NFL player Warren Moon joined The KICKOFF radio show on November 22 to discuss football prior to the game between the San Francisco 49ers and the Seattle Seahawks. Moon was on the air to also touch on a variety of topics such as what is happening with Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning this season, and what 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick has been doing off the field to get himself into some friction with a few Seattle players. In addition to that, Moon gave his two cents on other happenings around the NFL as he is a distinguished veteran of the sport himself.
The Los Angeles, California native played football in college for the University of Washington, but did not manage to get drafted by the NFL after he graduated. As a result, Moon went to play for the Edmonton Eskimos from 1978 through 1983 before returning to the United States to join the Houston Oilers for nine years. After that he also did some brief playing for the Seattle Seahawks and Minnesota Vikings before doing his last professional football season with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2000. Moon was invited into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2006 when he made history by being the first African American quarterback to be inducted.
