Harlem Globetrotters Booking AgentThe world famous Harlem Globetrotters will be in Gatlinburg, Tennessee this summer to host a day basketball camp for local kids ages 6-14 to work on ball handling skills, working as a team, game playing, and just having a lot of fun. There will be two sessions held on Saturday, June 20, one from 9 a.m. to noon and the other from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and it will cost $75 in advance or $90 at the door. At the end of the camp there will be some time for the children to take pictures with the players and get a few autographs, so it will be a complete experience for them. It will be a one of a kind experience so kids who live in the area should definitely sign up if they will be in town.

The Harlem Globetrotters are an exhibition team that combines basketball, comedy and theater in their performances. They started up in 1926 in Chicago’s Savoy Ballroom as that is where the majority of the members were originally from, but they decided to name the team the “Harlem Globetrotters” because the city was considered to be the hub for African-American culture. Even though the team doesn’t really belong to any particular league or stadium, they still manage to travel a lot and even played some games in Russia in the late 1950’s. Today, the team still tends to participate in different championships as well as exhibition games.

The Harlem Globetrotters will be in Tennessee this summer to host a one day basketball clinic later this month for kids between ages 6 and 14. Not only will they get to hang out with the players, but they will learn some pretty useful skills and tactics as well.
