Meghan Duggan Speaking FeeMeghan Duggan, captain of the 2014 U.S. Olympic Women’s Ice Hockey Team, will serve as keynote speaker for the 17th annual Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award Ceremony and Brunch to be held on Saturday, March 22, at the Oakdale Theatre in Wallingford, Connecticut.

The Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award is presented annually to the top player in NCAA Division I women’s ice hockey by The USA Hockey Foundation. Duggan won the award in 2011 after leading the University of Wisconsin Badgers to a third NCAA Division I National Championship during her career at the school. Individual tickets to the event are $65, while tables of 10 are available for $600. Tickets can be purchased at PattKaz.com.

Duggan has helped the U.S. Olympic Women’s Ice Hockey Team earn silver medals at each of the last two Olympic Winter Games. She has also skated with the U.S. Women’s National Team in five International Ice Hockey Federation Women’s World Championships, leading the team to four Gold Medals and one Silver. A Danvers, Massachusetts native, Duggan has appeared in 99 games for the U.S. over a span of seven seasons, and has recorded 36 goals and 28 assists for 64 points.
