Houston Astros star pitcher Dallas Keuchel has been announced as the keynote speaker for next year’s Oral Roberts University Baseball Diamond Dinner that is happening on January 15 at the Glenpool Conference Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. To start the evening out there will be a silent auction that will begin at 6 p.m. that will be closely followed by the main event just a half an hour later. Tickets to get into the dinner will cost $60 per person, but there will also be VIP rooms available to rent for $1,000 and home run level tables that seat six that cost $500. It is expected to be both a fun and profitable time and Keuchel is bound to have some interesting stories to tell.
The Tulsa native began playing baseball during his high school years and continued on to play for the University of Arkansas in college. Keuchel entered the 2009 MLB Draft where he was selected by the Astros in the seventh round, but played for three years on AA and AAA teams before debuting in his first pro game in the summer of 2012. The two-time Golden Glove winner is also the recipient of the 2015 AL Cy Young Award and was the AL Wins Leader as well as an All-Star player this year. Overall, Keuchel is getting to be a well-known and talented pitcher in the baseball world and averages a throwing speed of 90 miles per hour.
Keuchel will be returning to his hometown in Oklahoma early next year to be the keynote speaker for the Oral Roberts University Baseball Diamond Dinner, and it will be a fun and beneficial event for everyone who gets to go.
