Jets legends Wayne Chrebet and Vinny Testaverde will be showing up at Steiner Sports Store in Garden City, New York on Saturday, September 24th to sign autographs and meet with fans. Both players will be signing any item for just $69 a piece and for $20 more dollars they will provide and inscription. The signing event begins at noon and will go for an hour and a half until 1:30 p.m., so be sure to get there early enough to save your spot in line.
Chrebet is a native of New Jersey and began playing football as a teenager while he attended Garfield High School and went on to study and play for Hofstra University on Long Island. He entered the 1995 NFL Draft, yet went unselected, but a walk-on tryout with the Jets is what secured his career in playing football. Chrebet played for the Jets for ten years before retiring in 2005, and even was inducted into the New York Jets Ring of Honor.
Testaverde was born and raised in the state of New York, and attended Sewanhaka High School where he began playing football. He received and an athletic scholarship to attend the University of Miami and was on their roster for three years before entering the 1987 NFL Draft and was selected as a first overall pick by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.with whom he played for during the first five years of his career. Over the course of his professional years, he also played with the Cleveland Browns, Baltimore Ravens, New York Jets, Dallas Cowboys, New England Patriots and Carolina Panthers before retiring in 2007.
