Seattle Seahawks Michael Bennett is giving back to the community in a huge way. The NFL star has committed to donating all of his money from endorsement deals to organizations that help rebuild minority communities through STEAM programs and also for helping women of color. In addition to that, he announced that he will contribute one-half of his jersey sales to programs that promote inner-city garden projects and assist our world in a big way. Bennett stated that one person can make a difference, and he is doing everything he can do show the world how to prove that point. The very unselfish athlete is more than thrilled to give back to the community is this way and we will see just what an impact it makes in the months to come.
The Houston, Texas native played more than one sport during his high school years but was really a standout football player. He ended up attending and playing for Texas A&M and continued to build an honorable reputation for himself in the sport, and in 2009 he was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Seattle Seahawks. From 2009 through 2012 he went on to play for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before returning to Seattle whose roster he’s still on today.
Bennett has announced that all of his 2017 endorsement earnings and one-half of his jersey sales are going straight to where it matters–back to the community. He is selflessly showing that just one person can make a different, and he is grateful to be able to donate that much money in a year.
