New York Giants legend Michael Strahan recently spoke at this year’s National Apartment Association Education Conference & Exposition in San Francisco at the Moscone Center. The event took place on June 15-18 and hosted almost 10,000 apartment professionals, who house nearly one-third of Americans, and will prepare others in similar businesses to prepare apartment owners and their staff for a fruitful future. Strahan delivered the keynote speech and went into the details of his life after his professional sports career, and what he is up to now with his own company and broadcasting work.
The Houston born and raised athlete didn’t even start to play football until his senior year of high school, yet he still managed to get a sports scholarship offer at Texas Southern University. Strahan wasn’t the first in his family to make a name for himself on the collegiate team as he also had a uncle who played the same position for the Tigers. By his junior year at the university, he was showing his immense amount of talent for football and was becoming a real prospect for the NFL. Strahan entered the 1993 NFL Draft and was selected in the second round by the New York Giants, with whom he played with for 14 seasons.
Strahan spoke in the bay area earlier this summer as keynoter for this year’s National Apartment Association Education Conference & Exposition.
