Former San Francisco 49ers head coach and current coach of the University of Michigan Jim Harbaugh will be attending a summer football camp in Fresno, CA on June 11. He will be there to look at and help direct high school underclassmen who attend the clinic, which will run from 4 to 8 p.m. that day. The DB Guru Football Camp is open to any players in grades 9-11 and registration costs $60, however it is recommended that if you are interested in participating in it that you sign up immediately as there is limited space available. This will be an exciting opportunity to get some advice from one of the pros who might be able to shine some light on the directions they are hoping to take their athletic careers.
Before he was a head coach, Harbaugh was also a football player for his university, Michigan, which he now coaches. He was selected in the first round of the 1987 NFL Draft by the Chicago Bears where he played from 1987-1993, and then until his final game on the field he also bounced between the Colts, Ravens, Chargers, Lions and Panthers. After retiring from being a player, Harbaugh immediately transitioned into a coaching career which he has been doing ever since. He is most recognized for having his NFL team play against his brother’s in the Super Bowl XLVII, ultimately conceding the win.
Harbaugh will be attending the DB Guru Football Camp to watch and assess current high school players as they look for ways to fine tune their game. In addition to the Michigan coach, Harbaugh’s staff including John Baxter and Tyrone Wheatley will be there as well.
