American NBA star and shooting guard for the Houston Rockets James Harden was spotted endorsing a new sports product during the NBA All-Star game that took place in New York City last weekend.
The three-time NBA All-Star player got his start playing basketball when he attended Arizona State University and averaged 17.8 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game for the Sun Devils team. During his sophomore year in college he appeared on the college preview issue of Sports Illustrated, and was named the Pac-10 Player of the Year in 2009.
Harden has also played twice on the United States National team for the Summer Olympics 2012 games and the 2014 FIBA tournament, earning gold medals in both events. He was the 3rd overall NBA draft pick in 2009 and was picked up by the Oklahoma City Thunder, where he spent three seasons playing before being traded to the Houston Rockets in 2012.
The NBA star known for his iconic beard was seen wearing a elastic sports tape on his shoulder during the 2015 All-Stars game this previous weekend, which is indeed part of an endorsement deal that he just signed on with the company. The product is called KT Tape and it is designed to give players pain relief and support to prevent further aggravation to injuries. Harden, who was already a patron of KT Tape before signing a deal with its producer managed to get a two-year contract to promote the sports tape in exchange for cash.
