Jennifer Welter was a guest speaker at the annual fundraising breakfast of the Association of Religious Communities. Welter who is a sports psychologist as well as a coach in the NFL, spoke mainly about the impact women have addressing the problem of domestic violence. The Association of Religious Communities puts on a number of events such as this a year that have helped countless people.
The Vero Beach, Florida native is the first female coach ever in the NFL and she did so by interning with the Arizona Cardinals where she coached the inside linebackers for the Cardinals training camp and preseason. Before her professional career Welter had graduated from Boston College with a degree in sports psychology and got her masters and PhD from Capella University. Welter previously had experience playing for professional and semi-professional women’s football teams such as the Dallas Dragons and Dallas Diamonds. As many of her players for the Cardinals would attest to, she coaches just as any man would and as Tyrann Mathieu said “Her coaching style does not differ from many.”
Jennifer Welter was a guest speaker at the fundraising breakfast for the Association of Religious Communities and the event turned out great. The attendees got a chance to take in a speech from an NFL coach and to gift funds to the organization.
