Michael JohnsonRetired Olympian Michael Johnson has teamed up with the Bridgestone Americas, Inc. company to conduct a new internal training and sales incentive program to motivate employees for make sales in the countdown to the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. Johnson attended this year’s 2016 National Business Conference in Houston recently to get things started with the new program and is committed to make a series of educational videos, appearances and other training devices where he will share what he has learned from his athletic career as a means for inspiring people at the company workplace. Johnson is excited to work with Bridgestone on this project, as it is one of his passions to help people grow and excel at their professional and personal lives.

The Dallas, Texas native is the youngest of five kids and began running competitively at the age of 10, which he continued throughout high school and eventually got him a spot on Baylor University’s track team. Under the direction of coach Clyde Hart, Johnson won several NCAA titles for many different events. The runner competed in three different Olympic games in 1992, 1996, and 2000, bringing home gold medals each time. In addition to that, he won eight other gold medals at World Championship events between the years of 1991 and 1999. These days, Johnson currently works with Europe’s Arsenal F.C.as an assistant for developing young athletes in their academy.

Johnson has been elected to partner with Bridgestone Americas company to help encourage and motivate their employees over the next few months leading up to this summer’s Olympics in Rio.
