Tobias Harris AgentDuring the NBA off season, many players take vacations, go fishing, continue training, host nightclub events and even take part in charity events in their local community. Orlando Magic’s young super star, Tobias Harris has been very active in his new community of Orlando, helping build homes for Habitat Humanity for the less fortunate. He also made a special appearance this past Monday night at Urban Flats Downtown Orlando for RedCarpetMonday, a popular networking event throughout Florida. Business owners, professionals and entrepreneurs come together to build relationships and showcase their services and often times have celebrity appearances. Tobias even donated a signed jersey to be raffled off for the charity, The Center for Independent Living.  Harris mingled with die hard Magic fans and local business owners, and even lent a hand in pulling the raffle winners for the charity.

After the departure of Dwight Howard last year, Magic fans didn’t seem to have anything to get excited about until Tobias hit the scene putting up scoring clinics towards the end of the season. For those who didn’t know how he suddenly appeared on the scene, he was involved in the JJ Redick trade from Milwaukee. After D12 left Orlando for the Lakers, “T12” instantly became a fan favorite.

Tobias wears number 12 to tribute his close friend and former teammate Morgan Childs, who died at age 17 due to leukemia. Although he was unable to wear 12 during his time with the Milwaukee Bucks, Harris switched back after he was traded to the Orlando Magic during the 2012-2013 NBA season. At 6’8″, the future is looking big for Tobias in the city of Orlando who is looking to embrace their next big superstar.
